Conwy Wedding

Lucy and Matty had a lovely wedding in The Quay hotel in Conwy this weekend, I'm currently going through their pictures, finding my favourites to show them a few sneak peaks!

 I'm not going to lie when I saw the constant stream of rain on the Sunday morning I went in to panic mode! I got up really early and went through everything a million times as usual when it comes to a wedding day! 

My mum turned up ready for our trip and I was so nervous as I had already been to the hotel and seen how gorgeous the suroundings were with the little marina, Conwy castle in the background...perfect for SUNNY photographs outside! I settled a bit on the way there (with Take That blasting on the motorway) and couldn't wait to get there. The rain sadly didn't stop all day but I soon smiled when I arrived and remembered how lovely the hotel was so it really didn't matter! 

I met lovely Lucy getting ready with her bridesmaids in her room, rollers and high heels galore! :D and got stuck in to getting all the detail shots and bridal prep. I'm so pleased with some of these, looking through now, especially following the little flower girls around! 

Afterwards I went to catch the groom and his ushers to get a couple of shots with him and I was pretty surprised with them all being dressed and ready to go, and no nerves in sight!                                    

As the day went on the lovely couple had their ceremony, room all decorated in white with pops of flowers everywhere and the cake was to die for...probably my favourite so far! The speeches had me laughing along with all the family and friends, (best man was so funny!)  I love hearing stories of the couples and was nice to hear these two had been childhood sweethearts! 

 

The night time kicked off with a really cool band (Must get the name of them!) and it seemed like everyone had a really good time...me and my mum even felt like joining in! As I finished the last few photographs I was satisfied that the whole wedding had come together perfectly despite my initial thoughts of the weather and made me more confident in future to just go with instinct and find some inspiration indoors from now on! We ended up booking a roomin the hotel to save the journey back home and soo pleased we did, it was just gorgeous!

I hope the Bride and Groom have a fab honeymoon and want to thank them for choosing me as their photographer, I loved it and wish them all the best with the future!

I've had a few mornings off work so its been nice to chill in the flat and look through the pictures, I can never settle after a wedding until I've gone though them pretty much as soon as I get home!! 

Hope I haven't rambled on too much with this one, Its my first go at a 'wedding blog' so enjoy and have a good day! :)

Thought I would give this a go!

So writing a blog has always been in my list of things to do and I always start and leave them unfinished...the end.

Only joking! Well I hope anyway.
So i'm going to start by introducing myself, I'm Emily and I'm a photographer from The lovely Wirral. (that place across the River Mersey) I'm 24 at the moment, absolutely dreading being 25 next year..although a lot of people I meet for the first time think I am about 18, don't know what to make of that!

Here is me right this second looking rather tired! 

I live in Oxton with my boyfriend and our fish. He kindly puts up with me having our spare room as a photography studio and for that I am soo grateful as it causes a little chaos with the amount of kids and babies he has to deal with on a regular basis ;) (not broody AT all...)

I currently have 3 jobs; my face doesn't half get around... I work in Tesco and Mothercare along with my photography business so as you can imagine it's pretty hectic at times! I'm sure as the weeks go on I will get better at organising my life as right now its a bit up in the air! But as you will probably start to notice, my biggest passion is my photography and with this little blog I want to be completely honest about the trials and tribs of trying to juggle things and the highs of having the perfect photo shoot to the lows of feeling no confidence whats so ever on a daily basis! I hope to get a kick out of writing things out and maybe get feedback once in a while as it seems to work on my Facebook page a lot. I will try my very best to be as positive as I can though, I know how annoying it will get scrolling on a moaning blog all the time! 

I'm just going to put it out there that I'm no English genius and if my punctuation offends now and again, I apologise, but I really want to write this as I am and show my personality and if I throw the odd smiley face icon or 'eeeeeek!' it's just how I speak! Also I will state if I have taken any of the images or if the belong to anyone else as I don't want a sticky situation going on! 

With that I'm going to leave my first blog at that as I have my friend Bec on her way with lunch before I do a photoshoot of her two nieces Phoebe and Nancie, which I am so looking forward to! I may do a virtual tour of my studio room in the next coming weeks when it looks a bit tidier than it does now...
